The North American Riders Group is back on the show jumping scene with renewed intensity representing riders, owners, trainers and their horses, with a keen focus on improving our sport at a continental and global level.

The role of the NARG Top 25 has changed. In 2010, there were 18 FEI CSI 3*–5* events in North America, in 2020 there would have been 74. Going forward analysis via a reliable third-party, whose primary goal is to improve the sport, is more important than ever.

From 2010–2016, the NARG TOP 25 instigated major change

About NARG

The purpose of the NARG is to improve the quality of competitive show jumping in North America. We do that by uniting professional riders and trainers to use their collective strength to make show jumping in North America the best in the world.

With your support, NARG will continue to be recognized by those involved as the clear strong voice of North American riders and the all important supporting personnel directly involved with show jumping. To bring change we must speak with a singular voice.

Active participation offers you an opportunity to help shape the organization that will influence the classic sport that is no doubt very important to you. We know that there is strength in numbers. But we are especially hoping to recruit members willing to get involved by serving as volunteers willing to donate their time in support of this important undertaking. Another way to effectively participate is through providing financial support beyond the dues level established. In that regard, we are seeking and will welcome both contributions and sponsorships.

We are moving ahead but we need your help. We invite you to join with us, to help us grow by encouraging others to join and to get involved!

HISTORY

The North American Riders Group (NARG) was founded in Lexington, Kentucky on September 24, 2008. Its founding members included Chris Kappler, McLain Ward, Beezie Madden, Norman Dello Joio, Jimmy Torano and Kent Farrington.

The NARG was founded to represent the viewpoints and interests of all riders, trainers and owners in equestrian sport in North America. The NARG focus is to encourage growth of equestrian sport by improving the quality of events and controlling costs. We effect change through constructive criticism and positive influence on our governing bodies through committee activities.
